Participatory Governance and Security will contribute to the development and rights of children, youths and vulnerable groups.

DEDASRI partners with CLEEN Foundation with support from Ford Foundation to promote Inclusion and participatory governance and security in Enugu state

CLEEN Foundation in partnership with Divine Era Development and Social Rights Initiative (DEDASRI) with support from Ford Foundation organized local governance and security forum in Enugu South on 4th August, 2015. The  forum was aimed at bridging the gap in relationship between the communities and the security agents in the area and also facilitate inclusion and participatory governance and collective efforts on finding sustainable solutions to governance and security challenges.

The Participants were drawn from the three Police divisions in the LGA (Awkunanaw, Ikiriki, and Uwani), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Neighbourhood Watch Association and communities ( President Generals, Women leaders and Youth leaders) in the LGA.

The Executive Director of DEDASRI, Ms. Ogechukwu Enwelum delivered a paper during the forum titled " Gender and Security management". She stressed the fact that gender is human and global approach being the representation of men and women perspective and encouraged all stakeholders to adopt gender approach in all spheres of life especially in governance and security.
