ECSDPP is an umbrella body of partners with the interest of People living with disability and purse the passage of Disability Rights Law in Enugu state. In line with Divine Era Development and Social Rights Initiative (DEDASRI)'s vision of an Inclusive society, it contributes to the furtherance of ECSDPP's goals.
The 2-day workshop, 24th - 25th July, 2015 was organized with the support of State Accountability and Voice Initiative (SAVI), a UKaid programme in Nigeria to build the capacity of ECSDPP to develop an action plan to engage with the new administration for the passage of Disability Rights Law in Enugu state.
The participants were drawn from People with Disability, Media, Non-governmental organizations (NGO) and government agencies. Among the participants were Hon Paul Nnajiofor of the Enugu State House of Assembly who represented the speaker of the House and the Director of Rehabilitation from the Ministry of Gender Affairs Enugu, Mr. Romanius Obayi who represented the Commissioner.
Hon Paul Nnajiofor speaking at the workshop gave hope to ECSDPP and said that the 8th Assembly will work for the interest of all the citizens of the Enugu State.
